'Eua Island Map
'EUA Island is located off the eastern coast of Tonga's main island of Tongatapu. It is the oldest island in the Kingdom of Tonga, with a distinctly different geological composition. There are a number of places to stay, all low-key and offering friendly Tongan hospitality.
You can travel by ferry from the capital of Nuku'Alofa or take a short flight via Chathams Pacific airline direct from the domestic airport (adjacent to Tonga's International Airport). The flight takes only eight minutes via Islander aircraft. The ferry option takes up to 3 hours and departs from the Queen Salote wharf. Tickets can be purchased at the ferry terminal (cash only).
